WELCOME TO OUR LADY OF LA SALETTE PARENT TEACHER ORGANIZATION (PTO)

ALL PARENTS of students who attend Our Lady of La Salette school are members of PTO. While PTO is responsible for enhancing the educational experience by sponsoring  activities and offsetting expenses of the school, our two main goals this year are better communication and building a stronger community.

PTO has been emailing a Monday update (Tuesday if we don’t have school on Monday) with a look at what is happening in the upcoming week at our school and parish. Hard copies are also sent home with every student. However, in the spirit of recycling, we will only continue sending hard copies through October. After that, hard copies will be available in the office and will also be sent home directly with your child if we receive a request. We hope these weekly updates, along with the school calendar that was distributed at the beginning of the school year, will help keep you well informed. If you have any item you would like to share (especially celebrations and prayers) please email me.

I believe the more parents know about, the more they will be involved; the stronger the involvement, the stronger our community; a solid community means a solid future for Our Lady of La Salette.

PTO Meetings are generally the third Thursday of every month from 7-8 pm. We try to have babysitting available from our Academy students. Meetings are more than just listening to reports - they are interactive. We have parent presentations, so we can get to know each other a little better; break-out sessions with lively discussions on upcoming events and activities; and a drawing for a small gift for an attendee who came up with a great idea.

PTO meetings are:

OPEN HOUSE FEB. 26, 2012

If you love La Salette, show your spirit and let everyone know. The best way to market our school is by happy parents talking about what a great place to send their children. There's no better way to show your pride than to help out at our Open House. We need parents to distribute flyers, and attend Open House to spread the good news. Contact Peggy Squires at: pmcgee@rdc.us.com
